Do our rulers care to govern the nation?

I do not know how many noticed a news item by few Kerala media indicating that Kerala Ministers do not even attend their office at Trivandrum even two days of a week. As ministers they are free to do anything they like .Their subordinates including those hapless ordinary citizens who elected them to power cannot question them what they do and how they spend their time in power. They will have to worry about those voting them to power only after five years when they need one more chance to loot and enjoy all possible comforts any one can think of. To ensure one more term of loot and luxury unlimited, they will only have to pocket vote bank owners for whom they act like friends in loot business.

No body with senses expected Chandy govt. to get a victory in Aruvithara by election after all the loot stories and sex scams for which rulers did not even bother to talk excuses. People are expected to accept the fact that once in power rulers are free to loot and enjoy as much as they like.

Apart from 21 ministers who tirelessly loot and enjoy there are hundreds of corporation/board chair persons who enjoy almost all rights of ministers. These ornamental heads of government organisations do not need any qualifications or even trace of honesty like ministers. They too loot and enjoy with no one to control or question them

All these ministers and heads of govt. bodies are supposed to govern. That is one thing they do not know anything about. While pressing button in voting machine, voters do not check on capabilities of governance by candidates. They look for their religion, caste and for money for that simple one minute act of pressing a button.

Kerala state has an Electricity board which creates losses only forever. A public transport vehicle company called KSRTC which make Rs.110 crores losses every month when private vehicle operators reap profit forever. Government goes on giving salary hikes and bus fare hikes if looter ministers are adequately paid. Why should a minister bother about losses to govt. treasury as long as he gets his cuts promptly? So called left leaders in Kerala teach workers to work as little as possible and do anything to get high wages and other freebies. Congress party and their siblings on other side never oppose such attempts of organized labour which form only 3% of population to get more for doing nothing. In the process nobody bothers about govt. funds going in the drain and industrial units closing down one after another

Look at agriculture. Farmers who work even in Kerala do not get proper returns for their produce. If they take their farm products to a shop who get supplies from Tamil Nadu, shop owner will try to ridicule and abuse him for bringing his produce for sale and they will offer pittance as value. Why cannot there be at least one shop in each and every small town of Kerala to buy local farm produce at reasonable price and sell it with margin not exceeding 20%? Instead they sell at a profit of even 500% making farmer look like a fool. Is there any one to look at this situation and do anything? No. Ministers are busy looting and running after “Sarithas”

Every loot case involving ministers are being investigated by subordinates of these ministers who try hard to destroy any evidence and declare them as “saints” So ministers can loot with impunity and laugh madly

We had a central govt. which was run at whims and fancies of an Italian who was again interested only in looting .After Modi took over reins; there is a sense of governance coming in. But how can he correct damages in system which corrupted every element of government for more than 60 years?

In Kerala, Chandy is sure to get another term of loot as hapless Keralites have only an alternative of Pinarai who can only be another face of Chandy or worse

When we can hope for a government which can govern Kerala where even a 40 year old dilapidated public transport boat collapse in Cochin with deaths of many do not make people to think of need of a government which can govern?
