It is pathetic situation for Kerala. For long years, I used to think that Oommen Chandy is a comparatively better politician. Now it appears that all his pretentions of being a transparent leader was only a cover to shield shady deals he was indulging in.
Solar scam came to public notice by a simple query of Opposition leader about 70 calls from mobile phone of long time PA of CM to Saritha.From that day onwards we are watching with pain, unashamed attempts of Chandy to hide all evidence using Police.
After declaring Police enquiry, they did not bother to even question any of assistants of Chandy except Joppan who was arrested prompted by a court case initiated by Sreedharan Nair, a victim of solar Saritha.Shalu was left free for months together and was arrested only when court directions came. Even in arrest and later she was treated like a VIP by police!
Police have promptly enquired to find out who leaked out incriminating call details of Ministers and top guns of Congress with Saritha even after mid night and the IG of police reported to be behind is likely to be sacked. One Union Minister was seen shouting with anger in TV channels about crime of police in not being able to protect “sensitive information” like this! Height of arrogance of anti-people rulers!
With the influence Saritha.Shalu and Biju have with rulers, it is only a question of time for them to escape abroad whenever they get bail. Manager of Saritha is reported to have escaped to Qatar and they might have safely removed looted money abroad by now.
I am sure nothing will come out of these investigations to protect accused persons and worst come worse, Chandy may take cue from his colleague Kunjali who managed to get all his victims to change their statements and happily became a powerful Minister as if he is the most innocent man in Kerala.
Such turn of events will make people lose faith in our democratic system and villains will continue to rule us and many more will be tempted to act like Saritha.Shalu and Biju
